Cris here.

We love using our Ninja Foodi— both at home and on the road in our camper kitchen. It comes in SO handy. When we realized the Ninja Foodi has a broiling feature, we knew one of the first things we would try! Broiling steak in the Ninja Foodi is super easy and a great alternative when you don't want to heat up the oven or if you don't want to grill in the rain! This is also super convenient for those of us on low carb diets! Love me a good rib-eye and now we can literally make them rain or shine!

Notes on Broiling Steak in the Ninja Foodi

  • This recipe is specific to the broiling feature on the Ninja Foodi, however, you could use the same method in your oven broiler.
  • Cooking times will vary greatly depending on thickness of steak and how YOU like your steak cooked. We found for a medium cut ribeye, we could achieve medium rare by broiling 5 1/2 minutes on each side. Medium took 6 1/2 minutes on each side. Thinner steaks will take less time. Thicker steaks will take more time. Add and subtract minutes to reach desired level of doneness.
  • We found that a medium cut steak gave us the best results when broiling steak in the Ninja Foodi. Thin steaks were too chewy.
  • We did not like the results we got by using the Air Crisp feature to cook steak in the Ninja Foodi. We prefer using the broiling feature.

  • As with any of our recipes, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly depending on which products you choose to use when cooking.
  • All cooking units cook differently under different conditions, so cooking times are always a basic guideline and should always be tested first in your own Ninja Foodi and time adjusted as needed .

  • Flip steaks and broil for another 5-7 minutes.

  • Remove steaks from the Ninja Foodi and allow to rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before cutting into the steak.
